Hey all! I'm so stoked that DoMO is making a comeback!
I played DoMO way back in like, February of 2008 (months after it opened) and later joined Sapphire. I was 13 when I started playing (secretly, because my mom wouldn't let me, haha)... Anyway, eventually I was allowed to play and spent probably a year or two playing (and spending a lot of money ;- with DoMO as my main MMORPG.
DoMO has the most memories for me of any online game. I played with my online best-friend and later joined a guild. But we quickly got fed up with that guild because the leader was extremely power hungry and offensive (we couldn't talk in guild chat because it annoyed his 'wife' who couldn't just turn off chat like a normal person).
I decided to form a sort of coalition against the guild with other members of the guild who were just as fed up as I. I formed a guild named Twilight Nirvana, and a bunch of my friends from the other guild came along. I loved every one of my guild members and we held fun events like Amazing Race.
The most unfortunate, but inevitable, memory of my time playing related to the guild, however. As time passed on, less and less people signed on, and soon I lost contact with all of them but a couple. This was before this neat thing called Skype became popular.
As I was a MMO jumper with my best-friend, we often tried many other MMORPGs when we got bored playing one. During this period of inactivity, the guild leader position went to one of our other officers. I was fine with this, but eventually, he stopped signing in, as well. After that, my guild was lost to the system somewhere, and I have no idea where it went.
I've been playing MMOs for 7 years. Basically, I've tried at least the majority of all free 3D MMORPGs that have existed until now. I feel like we're in a slump period of good MMOs, right now. I am eagerly awaiting DoMO to and some other great games I've been waiting for to come out.
Now I'm 20 years old and have two more semesters of university left before I graduate. I'm studying Computer Science with Japanese as a minor. I studied in Japan this past summer for 5 weeks. My dream is to get a career in Localization (translating and adapting games from Asian languages to English). Yes, that's what game publishing companies do when they bring games stateside .
I enjoy Korean music and watching Korean dramas, and playing MMOs.
I don't know what else to say... but good job for sticking through all this text (if you did...)!
Sorry for not making it more flashy and stylized, hehe.
Hope to see you all in game!!
