WHAT IS THE "LETTERS OF LOVE" WRITING CONTEST?
Valentine's Day is the 14th of this month. Time to spread the love! Write a love letter to an imaginary friend, a character from a video game or book, a celebrity, someone in the guild, etc. There are three types of love letters that we will accept. Keep reading to find out more!
WHAT TYPE OF LOVE LETTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED?
There are 3 categories you can enter. You may submit 1 entry per category. You do not have to enter every category. The categories are: "The Next Fabio" (Most Romantic), "So Cute! I can't even!" (Most "Gooey and Cutesy"), "Most Likely to Stick Straws up their Nose during a Date" (Funniest)
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
Write a letter that is 50-300 words in length. Your grammar and spelling does not have to be perfect; we just need to be able to understand it. Send your letter to me through a PM on this forum and I PM you with confirmation that you have been entered. Please include which category that each letter belongs to. You may submit multiple letters in one PM. All entries are to be sent to me no late than Saturday, February 14th @ 11:59pm EST. No exceptions!
HOW WILL THE WINNERS BE CHOSEN?
One winner will be chosen from each category. They will be chosen by me. I may or may not have my boyfriend help me judge them, too. Hopefully he can so I can get an unbiased party to judge. The winners will be announced on Sunday, February 15th.
WHAT DO THE WINNERS RECEIVE?
The winners will each receive a prize that has yet to be determined during Open Beta of DOMO. (probably within the first 2-5 weeks of DOMO's Open Beta)
EXAMPLE FORMAT OF A LETTER (not required)
Dear <NAME OF THE RECEIVER>,
Blahblahblah. Your letter's content goes here.
Love,
<YOUR NAME GOES HERE>
RULES
• Your letter should not include any hateful speech or topics. Be respectful.
• If you won the event and you leave the guild prior to the time that the prize is supposed to be delivered, you will not receive your prize. The same applies for the friend that you chose to receive a prize. You must be a current member of the guild. (If you are absent for whatever reason but you're a member, don't worry! You'll still get your prize!)
• Keep content of your letter to a maximum of a PG-13 rating. If you have questions, ask me for clarification. I reserve the right to approve or disapprove your letter for entry based on inappropriate, plagiarised, or disrespectful content.
• You may write your letter in .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt formats as file attachments or send the letter directly in a PM.
• I will only accept entries through PMs on the website so I can keep track a lot easier than multiple IMs on Skype or Raidcall.
